WHY OUR PUB IS GREAT
Once a coaching inn and ale house for travellers in the 19th Century, the Bird in Hand in Blidworth has long been the perfect place to visit for a relaxing drink and a bite to eat. With stunning views across the Midlands countryside and a central village location, visitors at local attractions as well as locals make the most of this wonderful setting.
We are proud to be a family run pub, offering a welcoming atmosphere to all our guests, whether regulars or new comers to the area.
Our doors open at noon until midnight and we serve food from 12pm-8pm Monday-Saturday and why not try our tasty steaks from the grill or a steaming hot lasagne – and for those fancying something more traditional, we serve a roast dinner from noon until 5pm every Sunday.
Customers can enjoy indoor or outdoor seating whilst at the Bird in Hand – what are you waiting for?

About our Food
When it comes to tasty food for all to enjoy we've got you covered!
We offer seasonal menus with vibrant, refreshing summer salads to enjoy on hot summer’s days, or comforting, warm dishes to keep out the cold weather.
Regular favourites such as burgers, steaks and fish and chips are available all year round. For the kids, our ‘Little Monsters’ menu has plenty on offer to tempt even the fussiest of young eaters.
If you enjoy a roast at the weekend, check out our Sunday lunch menu with a choice of meats with roast potatoes and all the trimmings. For those who like their food a bit spicy, our regular curry nights every week are a must.
Special occasions such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Mothers’ Day are all well catered for, with dedicated menus designed for each.
